I see myself as a creative who draws a lot of energy and inspiration from different creative outlets such as music, videography, photography, illustration, animation and of course design. In recent years I have also focussed on the following:
Branding
Since my studies I have been fascinated by the possibility of inventing worlds and creating visual identities as a designer. During my time at think moto I learned that good design can only be created if it is based on strategic decisions. But no outstanding design without emotions. This is what I love about branding, the combination of strategic thinking and emotional depth that connects users and brands.
Editorial design and journalism
In the last years I was part of 10+ news website and magazine relaunches (among others NZZ, WirtschaftsWoche and Kleine Zeitung) and worked closely with editorial teams and decision makers to rethink their services and workflows. I love working with teams that aren’t satisfied with the journalistic standard, but are looking for new ways to tell stories in the digital world.
Design Sprints
As I’m a big fan of making fast progress, I find the design sprint format perfect for kick-starting new ideas and directly testing those with real users. It’s always amazing to see how much we can achieve in a short time when we bring people from different disciplines together to combine their strengths.
